KVELL’s website exists to help prospective students, parents, and visitors get accurate information and connect with the university easily. This policy explains what information gets collected when someone visits the site, submits a form, or interacts with university services online, and how that information is used and protected.

What We Collect

When visitors browse the KVELL website, basic technical information is collected automatically, browser type, approximate location, and general navigation patterns, to help understand how the site is used and where it can be improved.
When someone submits information directly, most often through an admission enquiry form, contact form, or feedback form, we collect details like name, email address, phone number, and the specific programme or query they’re reaching out about. If a visitor comments on a blog post or news update, that comment, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser information, is collected to help detect spam.

Cookies

If a visitor leaves a comment on the site, they may choose to save their name, email, and website in a cookie for convenience on future visits. These cookies last for one year. Login-related cookies, for staff or registered users, are used to maintain a session and remember display preferences; these expire after two days, or two weeks if “Remember Me” is selected, and are removed on logout.

Embedded Content

Pages on this site may include embedded content, such as videos or images, from other websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if the visitor had gone directly to the source website, and that external site may collect its own data, set its own cookies, and track interactions independently of KVELL.

How We Use and Share Information

Information submitted through admission or enquiry forms is used specifically to respond to that enquiry, guide applicants through the right admission process, and share relevant updates. KVELL does not sell or rent personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. If a password reset is requested, the IP address associated with that request is included in the reset email for security purposes.  In limited cases, information may be shared with regulatory or affiliating bodies where required for compliance, such as admission verification.

How Long We Keep Data

Comments and their associated metadata are retained indefinitely, so that follow-up comments from returning visitors can be recognized and approved automatically rather than held for manual review. For registered users, personal information provided in a user profile is stored and can be viewed, edited, or deleted by the user at any time, apart from their username, which cannot be changed.

Your Rights

If a visitor has an account on this site or has left comments, they can request an exported copy of the personal data KVELL holds about them, and can request that this data be erased. This doesn’t apply to information the university is required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
